To The Stage: Alicai Harley

With an incredible stage presence killer bars and pink hair, Alicai Harley is a star on the rise that you most definitely can’t ignore.
The singer/rapper from London has been lighting up stages up and down the country including performances in London and Portsmouth.
The singer describes her style as ‘R&Grimey’ drawing inspiration from 90s Dancehall and her personal experiences.
Alicai’s versatility is unquestionable, with a style that is constantly evolving. However, the themes covered in her music remain honest, open and real. Her end goal?  The ultimate takeover!

IndustryMe caught up with Alicai to find out more about the woman behind the music.

IM: Fashion is a big part of you, who are your favourite designers/stylists and what inspires your image?

AH: I don’t actually have a favourite designer yet, but I do enjoy shopping at missguided and misspap, and I’m not sure a lot of the time I just see something I like and automatically know what I’m going to wear with it.

IM: What was the idea behind ‘hot shot Tuesdays’?

AH: My friend and I were thinking of ways to promote my self more on a budget and show my talents, and she said do a freestyle or for something each day of the week and as I am the ‘Hot Shot’ its only right for it to be #HotShotTuesday

IM: Can we expect an album from you this year?

AH: HeHe He not telling 🙂 but I will say expect the unexpected !

IM: What’s your favourite song to perform and why?
AH: “What would I do” as I feel I can really let my self go and sing my heart out lol and also if I can I have two definitely “Knew Better”

Alicai is definitely one to watch, we look forward to watching her journey unfold!
